Hormusji Ruttonjo Patel (c. 1870 – December 28, 1928) was a Parsi mechanical engineer who served as Superintendent of the Agra Water Works from about 1898 until his death. In his first year he grew house connections from 450 to 1,000, and over his tenure expanded pumping capacity from two million to six million gallons per day. He was a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (1923) and served in the Agra Volunteer Rifles / Indian Defence Force during the First World War.
